Cosmos

A limited edition collection of 3 hand-knotted silk pieces: Cosmos, Cosmic Rasta and His Land, is ethically produced in the ancient city of Bhaktapur in Nepal using the Tibetan carpet-making technique. The process is defined by giving emphasis on precision, the finishing of the edges and detailing, while introducing a higher knot density than what is commonly used. There are 9 editions for each collection and are produced by the traditional technique. Each piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Limited Edition
All pieces are double knotted and use 100% silk thread.
Knot density: 200knots per square inch

Wool Edition

‘Cosmic Rasta’

The limited edition collection: Cosmos, concieved creatively in Haad-Yuan beach in Thailand, reimagines the fascinating people in dreadlocks exploring like etheric forces the earth. “Cosmos” refers to both the spiritual and physical world, “Cosmic Rasta” is more related to these extraordinary figures’s spiritual center which is driven by their need for “freedom” and “His Land” is the sense of belonging and occupation of space these individuals claim. The idea of “Cosmos” as a series of narratives, connected to the “rasta” figures, is an homage to the people and relationships we make in our own journey of self discovery, that emerge spontaneously in our lives.

Haad-Yuan, Thailand 2012

All pieces are double knotted and use 100% Tibetan wool.
Knot density: 200knots per square inch
Thickness: 0.4cm
Size: 180 x 180 / 200 x 200 / 240 x 240 / 270 x 270 cm
